Swansea Remaps
A good remap should make the car feel sharper, stronger and more natural to drive. We tune around the condition of the vehicle, the way it is used and the hardware fitted, with sensible power and torque targets rather than headline numbers that cause problems later.
Petrol, diesel, turbocharged cars and vans can all be assessed. We can also help with poor previous remaps, warning lights after tuning, limp mode and vehicles that need a more careful diagnostic approach.
Stage 1 and Stage 2 tuning for stronger torque, cleaner delivery and better drivability on suitable vehicles.
02TCU and DSG tuning support for sharper shifts, better torque handling and improved drivability where supported.
03Bespoke calibration for modified vehicles, turbo upgrades, unusual setups and problem remaps.
04Rolling road testing and load-based tuning support for power checks, diagnostics and custom calibration.
05DPF warning lights, blocked filters, failed regenerations, pressure sensor faults and root-cause checks before repair.
06EGR valve, cooler, flow and software-related checks for rough running, limp mode and recurring engine lights.
07SCR, NOx sensor, countdown, pump, injector and AdBlue system diagnostics with clear advice on repair options.
Hardware-aware tuning support for intercoolers, exhausts, intakes, turbo upgrades and enthusiast builds.
Support for smoke, clutch slip, boost faults, turbo issues, bad throttle response and poor maps from elsewhere.
What We Do
Power is only useful when the vehicle is healthy enough to use it. Before tuning, we look for the common problems that can turn a simple remap into a bad experience: weak boost control, tired clutches, air leaks, injector correction issues, DPF back pressure, EGR faults and old fault codes that have been ignored.
That does not mean every car needs hours of testing. It means we take the condition of the car seriously and will tell you if a repair should come before tuning.
A good remap should feel like the manufacturer left useful power on the table and we put it back. Throttle response should be cleaner, torque should arrive smoothly and the vehicle should still behave properly in daily use.
If your car or van has already been mapped elsewhere and now smokes, surges, overboosts, slips the clutch or feels flat, we can inspect the setup and advise whether it needs reverting, repairing or tuning again properly.
ECU Remapping Swansea
Stage 1 remapping is normally for a standard vehicle in good mechanical condition. It adjusts the ECU calibration to improve torque, power delivery and drivability without requiring hardware changes. Turbo diesel cars and vans often respond especially well because the original calibration is conservative.
Stage 2 tuning is for vehicles with supporting hardware such as intercoolers, exhaust changes, intake work or turbo upgrades. These jobs need more care because airflow, temperatures, boost control and fuel delivery all matter. We would rather build a sensible, repeatable map than chase a number that looks good once and causes trouble later.
DPF Help Swansea
A blocked DPF is often a symptom, not the original fault. Pressure sensors, temperature sensors, EGR faults, boost leaks, poor injector performance, short journeys and failed regenerations can all lead to the same warning light. Cleaning or replacing a filter without finding the cause can mean the fault comes straight back.
We can check soot loading, pressure readings, regeneration history, sensor data and related engine faults before recommending the next step. For road vehicles, repair and legal operation come first. Any emissions software work is only discussed where it is appropriate and permitted.
EGR Faults
EGR systems can fail mechanically, electrically or through carbon build-up. Common symptoms include hesitation, poor idle, black smoke, reduced power, engine management lights and recurring limp mode. On some vehicles the EGR cooler, position sensor or flow monitoring can be the real issue rather than the valve alone.
We check the fault codes against live data and the vehicle's behaviour. That makes it easier to avoid guesswork and unnecessary parts, especially on vehicles where EGR faults overlap with DPF or boost problems.
AdBlue and SCR
AdBlue faults can be frustrating because many vehicles start a mileage countdown once the SCR system sees a serious problem. NOx sensors, AdBlue pumps, injectors, heaters, wiring faults, crystallisation and ECU communication problems can all trigger warnings.
We can help identify whether the vehicle needs a sensor, pump, injector, software update, wiring repair or further SCR system testing. The aim is to give you a clear route before the vehicle becomes difficult or impossible to start.
DPF, EGR and AdBlue
Short journeys, tired sensors, boost leaks, sticking EGR valves, poor servicing and previous software work can all trigger the same symptoms. We start with the data, then explain the options in plain English. Any emissions-related software work is discussed for appropriate off-road, motorsport or legally permitted use only.
Why Choose Us
Most remapping problems come from rushing the job or treating every vehicle as the same. We look at live data, fault history, mechanical condition and the driver's goal before recommending a map or repair.
Local Coverage
How It Works
Send the registration, engine, current faults and what you want from the vehicle: more torque, better towing, a DPF issue, EGR fault, AdBlue warning or a previous remap checked.
Some vehicles are ready to map. Others need diagnostics first. We will tell you which path makes sense before you spend money on the wrong job.
Where tuning is suitable, the calibration is matched to the vehicle and its hardware. Where faults are present, the data decides the repair direction.
You get plain advice on what was found, what was changed and anything to keep an eye on afterwards.
Questions
A sensible remap on a healthy vehicle should stay within safe limits. Problems usually come from poor files, unrealistic torque requests, weak clutches, ignored faults or vehicles that should have been repaired before tuning.
Yes. Many vans benefit from extra torque for towing, carrying weight or motorway driving. We still check condition first, especially clutch health, turbo control, DPF status and injector data.
Yes. We look for the reason the DPF is blocking or failing to regenerate. The cause may be driving pattern, sensor data, EGR operation, boost issues, injector problems or the condition of the filter itself.
Most customers come from Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot, Llanelli, Gorseinon, Morriston, Mumbles and the wider South Wales area.
In many cases, yes. We can inspect symptoms, fault codes and live data, then advise whether the best route is repair, reverting to standard, or creating a better calibration.
